Howdy! The names Anthony Celia! Joined the Air Force out of shortly after high school in Florida in 2008. The military brought me up to Alaska and boy did I fall in love with her! I dove head first into everything Alaska has to offer and through deployments where I couldn’t be out hunting, I lived vicariously through other hunters on these forums. I learned the ways did the researched while deployed and trained to come back and hit it hard. My wife and two boys keep me busy along with being a civilian equipment operator, a MSgt in the Air National Guard, and dabble in investment properties. I’m constantly in search of improving myself and others around me! Thank you to everyone out there who loves the outdoors and treats it with respect!
A childhood dream from reading stories of the great hunters, explorers and adventurers of Alaska's past planted a seed that took me 36 years to fulfill. The Air Force provided the opportunity and transportion, and I jumped. Since 2006 I have explored, photographed and hunted around 3/4's of the state and rebuilt a remote cabin. I fulfilled another dream with my pilots license in 2012, purchased and completely rebuilt a Super Cub, and further fueled my passions. There is no looking back now. I retired from the military in 2014, worked a 2 years stint on the slope and am currently working on my commercial ratings to make a career out of flying, guiding, and who knows what else will take me down the trail. Hiking, photography, hunting, fishing and just about everything Alaska has to offer are my addictions, and a flying career will be my pathway that will make those passions materialize!
Jerry Herrod moved to Alaska in 1989 and grew up hunting and fishing in the South-Central area. He has traveled all over Alaska exploring what the state has to offer. He Worked in sporting goods retail and fly fishing shops, owned an operated a fishing guide operation on the Kenai River and is currently working in Law Enforcement since 2008. Much of my free time finds me escaping the urban sprawl into the backcountry in search of the next hunting or fishing adventure along with amateur photography.
Originally from Iowa, I first came to Alaska right after college to take a job as a fishing /rafting / hunting guide. Today I am a self-employed carpenter/contractor who spends as much time as possible on the ocean and in the backcountry. That's where I feel most at home. As soon as I return from one adventure I am planning and preparing for the next.

Melissa J. Meade I was born and raised in Anchorage and I love spending time in the wilds of Alaska. My husband and I have spent most of our married life hunting and fishing, which quickly became a way life to fill our freezer with the bounty Alaska has to offer. After a friend took me hiking for the first time last year, I was instantly hooked and I’ve spent as much of my free time as possible hiking and going on as many adventures as I can. I started photography as a hobby when I was a teenager but it quickly grew into a passion after graduating from college. My primary focus is Alaskan wildlife and landscapes but I have tinkered in other practices like aurora/night photography and long exposures to expand my horizons. After winning a few local photo contests and with the support of family and friends, I officially launched my own photography business to share my love for Alaska through photographs.
Gaylynn Mertz Born and raised on the Kenai Peninsula, I've been lucky enough through work and recreational experience, to have explored around and through a majority of the Arctic, western coast, south central and south east Alaska. While I'm an avid sportfishIng enthusiast for both fresh and saltwater, I have a high respect for sustainability and conservation. When not on the water, my interests are in photography, hiking and trail riding and promoting women's outdoor recreation.
Sara Wolman Born on the East Coast, I got a case of the Alaska bug in 2009 when I explored the South East of Alaska. I came back in 2012 to run trail maintenance crews and never left. I've been living in King Salmon year round for the past five years, and work as a Ranger for Katmai National Park and Preserve, home of all things bears, salmon, and wilderness. I love subsistence hunting and fishing, and have a great love of the outdoors. When I'm not "working," I am often trying to find new packrafting routes on the Alaska Peninsula, climbing mountains and ice, and swimming with the salmon. I also enjoy making art, jewelry, and freelance as a graphic designer.
I came to Alaska with the Army in 2006 and immediately fell in love. I retired from the Army and I run my own fishing guide business now.
I spent almost all of my free time fishing, hunting or something related.
Passion is obviously fishing and chasing mountain critters like sheep, bears and goats.

I grew up exploring Alaska’s backcountry with my family and friends
, an d it is still my favorite thing to do. I have been on climbing trips and expeditions in Alaska, Australia, Canada, Europe, New Zealand, The contiguous U.S., and Asia, completing first ascents and significant repeats in many areas, generally in alpine style. My specialties include onsight climbing , exp loratory alpine climbing , alpine climbing strategy, mental training for risk sports, ski mountaineering, and occasional free solos in alpine and subalpine environments. As a result of exploratory climbing endeavors, I have received a variety of awards and sponsorships over the years. My approach to climbing, guiding, skiing, my life, career, and my community involvement are similar in that they strive to foster positive and collaborative relationships for the best possible outcomes. Other sports I actively practice include trail and mountain running, cross country and freeride mountain biking, downhill longboarding, and many other subsports of the climbing life.
Born in Northern California where my passion for the outdoors began in the Sierra Nevada’s; hiking, fishing and snowboarding. I moved to Alaska in 2006 excited and eager for new adventures and began exploring various parts of Alaska; fishing, hunting, hiking, 4-wheeling, snowmachining, and snow-shoeing. I am able to incorporate my passion of the outdoors with my career and do marketing for both non-profits/other companies, and own & manage a fishing guide business. My passion of conservation carries over to the non-profit organizations where I am on the board and hope to help make difference and be a voice for women!
